BOOK STUDY:
My Grandfather’s Blessings
Starting on Thursday October 2nd, we will be reading and discussing a book from National Bestselling author Rachel Naomi Remen:, My Grandfather’s Blessings: Stories of Strength, Refuge and Belonging.
Remen’s grandfather, an Orthodox Jewish rabbi, saw all life as interconnected, with everyone belonging to one another. In blessing one another, he taught her that we fill emptiness, heal loneliness and connect more deeply with life*. This is a book for anyone, not just the religious. Within the pages are short passages that are good for reading in quick bursts.
We ask that people purchase the book for this study to participate- but if cost is a barrier, the church has resources to help cover cost.
